Nigerian Journalist and Publisher, Dele Momodu, has said that President Bola Tinubu should have been treated better in South Africa.
The assertion is coming just after a trending video of the South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa purportedly ignoring President Bola Tinubu during his inauguration surfaced on the internet and has left tongues wagging.
NPO reports that President Tinubu is on a visit to South Africa for Ramaphosa’s inauguration.
Recall that the South African President was elected for his second-term.
However, in the video, Ramaphosa can be seen exchanging handshakes with dignitaries on the front row.
Meanwhile, Tinubu was on the second row next to Samia Hassan, president of Tanzania, and other leaders.
Reacting to the trending video, Momodu said
“I think PRESIDENT CYRIL RAMAPHOSA greeted PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU but perhaps it was too short or the camera angle didn’t capture the moment well.
“But I’m not happy about how he was tucked behind.
“His handlers need to be more assertive without being aggressive. They must request and demand where they want him to STAND or SIT ahead of time or he won’t attend.”
