President Bola Tinubu has on Thursday sworn in two newly appointed ministers, Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh (SAN) and Dr Bernard Mohammed Doro, following the approval of their appointment by the Senate.
NPO Reported that the President had appointed Udeh as the new Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology while Doro was appointed as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
Udeh, the immediate past Enugu State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General was appointed to replace Uche Nnaji who resigned from his role over certificate forgery scandal.
On the other hand, Doro, a renowned pharmacist and lawyer, replaced the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who stepped down from his role as the humanitarian Affairs minister following his emergence as the ruling party’s new national leader.

While Doro was screened and approved by the Senate last month, Udeh’s appointment was confirmed by the lawmakers following his appearance before the red chamber for screening on Thursday.
Shortly after Senate’s approval of appointment, the duo appeared before Tinubu for their swearing-in.
The President swore-in the new Ministers in a brief ceremony held inside the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.
In attendance at the event were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Esther Didi Walson-Jack; Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; ministers, and senior presidential advisers.
