Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communications, Daniel Bwala, has deleted a post suggesting lopsidedness in President Bola Tinubu’s appointments.
Recall that Tinubu had overtime come under heavy criticisms and accusations over his choice of appointments which were claimed to be based on ethnic and religious sentiments and marginalisation with alleged dominance of appointees from the Southern part of the country especially the South West.
However, the recent appointments approved by the President saw 16 appointees from the Northern region while seven others which included former Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shuaibu, were appointed from the Southern region.
Reacting to the latest appointments in the now deleted post on his X handle, Bwala disclosed that more appointments are coming to balance up for the lopsidedness.
“We told them there are more appointments coming to balance up; they doubted, behold. This is just the beginning.” The Presidential spokesperson had written.
Meanwhile, as contained in the list of the new 22 appointees, Shuaibu was appointed as the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Sports.
Also notable in the list was former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, who was appointed as the Chairman of the Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies.
Another ex-Senate President, Pius Anyim, made the list with his appointment as the Chairman of the National Merit Award.
