A loyalist of the former Governor of Lagos State and presidential Aspirant Bola Tinubu, Senator John Akpan Udoedehe had announced his exit from the All Progressive Congress.
Udoedehe was the National Secretary of the party under the Caretaker Committee led by Governor of Yobe Mai Mala Buni.
The former Senator was believed to be very powerful under Buni regime as the acting chairman.
A letter to that which was dated June 4, 2022 was addressed to the Offort Ward 6, Uyo in Akwa Ibom State.

Saying that the decision to part ways with the APC was a tough one, Udoedehe said “leadership entails adherence to the wishes of the majority of the associates, Allie’s, and supporters who have shown fidelity overtime and have now witnessed the obduracy of the APC in handling the candidates selection processes of the APC,”
