The victims of the train Abuja-Kaduna attack on the passengers have demanded compensation from the Federal Government to enable them to start a new life.
Their demand came barely 24 hours after the Nigerian Railway Corporation resumed train services on the Abuja-Kaduna route.
Recall that a statement released by the Managing Director of the NRC, Fidel Okhiria, stated, that “the Federal government through the Ministry of Transportation will resume the Abuja -Kaduna Passenger train service on Monday 5, December 2022.”
The deadly attack which occurred on the 28th of March, claimed the lives of eight passengers, with the terrorist releasing the abducted victims in batches until the last 23 were freed in October.
Speaking to journalists in Kaduna on Tuesday, the victims lamented that most of them lost their means of livelihood during the period they were in the custody of the terrorists who kidnapped them during that attack.
