Two Months After Death of Alaafin, His Wife, Kafayat Dies

One of the wives left behind by the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Kafayat, has died.
Her death came more than two months after the demise of her husband.
Olori Kafayat Adeyemi, who is the mother of one of the monarch’s popular sons, Adebayo Adeyemi also called D’Guv, passed on in the United States of America in the late hours of Friday.
The palace is yet to release details of her death as at the time of filing this report.
The monarch himself joined his ancestors on Friday April 22 at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, after a brief illness at the age of 83.
