A digital technology product-led company says it has launched a digital product, ‘AE Learning’, to promote Nigerian languages and culture with a mix of German language as an extra.
The United Kingdom-based company, Afro-European Business Services Limited, disclosed this during a virtual forum monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan on Wednesday.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Oluseun Durowoju, says AE Learning is to aid multicultural integration through the teaching of mainly native Nigerian and African languages.
According to him, the learning is meant for anyone who wants to start from scratch or have a basic understanding of different languages and cultures.
He said the learning would expand to other African languages to make the languages easy to understand, relate with and easy for students.
“Be it children born outside of Nigeria, those with Nigerian connection, and even those children in Nigeria, our product and teachers will make it effortless and fun to learn any of our languages,” he said.
Durowoju said the product would open the eyes of the world to understanding African languages and culture better, thus promoting harmony and integration across the spectrum.
He maintained that understanding the languages would give a sense of belonging, make a difference and most importantly, make one accept his ancestral identity.
“AE learning is targeted at equipping the current generation of youths and even adults with their own native languages, in addition to an international language of business,” he said.
Durowoju, who doubles as the Chief Creative Officer, declared that the company also aimed to bring major languages of the world to the African audience with ease and convenience.
This, he said, would provide opportunities for Africans, home and abroad, to learn and be conversant with the basic understanding of various foreign languages while aiding easy integration into other cultures.
The company’s Senior Product Manager, Oluseyi Sodiya, expressed optimism about the product, saying it was an idea set to create solutions to reduce language barriers in advancing the course of humanity.
“It will aid the promotion of peaceful co-existence of every race through a basic understanding of one another’s cultural heritages, as well go a long way in enhancing business activities, social interaction and multi-dimensional relationships,” said Sodiya.
The senior product manager announced a promotion of the first 100 people to sign up for two months getting two additional free months.
“More importantly, the platform is user-friendly and easy to access. Our language courses are set up for self-study.
“You can learn at your own pace and in your own time. The lessons are short, relevant and created by real instructions,” he said. NAN
