A United Kingdom based Nigerian pro-democracy and human rights activists, Kayode Ogundamisi, has singled out Arise Television anchor man, Charles Aniagolu for what he described as his professionalism.
Ogundamisi, on Sunday said that Aniagolu handles his assignment without drawing any undue attention that could be given any colour of political bias. Employing a Yoruba adage “Ninu ikoko dudu ni eko fun fun tin jade,” which “from black pot emerges white pap” which simply means that from some very bad, rotten situations, something good can emerge. Ogundamisi said this adage simply illustrates “what Charles Aniagolu is to Arise TV.”
His professionalism should be studied.
“No toxic energy, able to present very difficult queries to his guests without “tearing pant” or pulling his shirts and still hold guests to account.”

His comment came amidst arguments over the perceived unprofessional ways some of the anchors at the television station had handled their tasks especially when they interview their guests. Specifically, one of the anchors, Oseni Rufai and a former Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Rueben Abati, had been fingered to be more partisan in their encounters with political gladiators on their programmes.
