That is the question as many consumers are facing the reality of a new pump price that is now the order at filling stations in many parts of the country.
As at Tuesday, many marketers had adjusted their pumps to reflect their price regimes as buyers grumble but buying.
Garba Deen Mohammed spokesman of the NNPC, said it is no longer within the responsibility of the company to fix prices of petroleum products saying this is now the task before midstream and downstream authority.
So far, the Federal Ministry of Petroleum has not issued an official statement over the issue but indications are that the new price regime might after all be official.
Nigerians have faced hard times in procuring the products in the last two months with prices going as high as N300 per litre in black markets.
Till now, long queues are still normal sights across the cities like Abuja, Lagos, PortHarcourt, Ibadan, Kaduna and other places.
