The United States Marshals have placed $25,000 reward for information on a 48-year-old Nigerian, Olalekan Olawusi, wanted for alleged murder.
This was contained in a publication issued by the US law enforcement agency.
According to the publication, Olawusi had been declared wanted since 2017 over the alleged murder at Rhode Island.
The case outline accused O of first degree murder and two counts of inflicting serious bodily injury on a child.
The US Marshall claimed he had fled to Nigeria to avoid prosecution.
“The United States Marshall Service (USMS) is requesting assistance in locating Olalekan Olawusi. Olawusi is wanted in Rhode Island for first degree murder and two counts of inflicting serious bodily injury on a child.
“He is also wanted for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Olawusi is believed to have fled to Nigeria and is receiving aid from family members.” The case outline read.
