The United States President, Donald Trump, has hailed Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, describing her as a very respected woman.
Trump made the compliment in recognition of Tinubu’s presence at the National Prayer Breakfast held in Washington DC on Thursday.
The US President, in his address at the event, specially acknowledged the Nigerian First Lady, introducing her to others as a serving Christian Pastor at the largest church in Nigeria.
“We’re honoured to be joined today by the First Lady of Nigeria, who also happens to serve as a Christian pastor at the largest church in Nigeria.
“A very respected woman. First Lady, please, where are you? Thank you very much. It’s a great honour.” Trump said.
The US President’s acknowledgement of the first lady’s presence at the event comes is coming amid his administration’s stance on the alleged killings and persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
