The signature dance steps and song of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, appeared to have failed to appeal to the First Lady Oluremi Tinubu as she stopped the governor from his prolonged singing and dancing at an event.
Adeleke had on Sunday hosted the First Lady in Osun State for the 10th Coronation Anniversary of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
The event, which saw Oluremi Tinubu honoured with the chieftaincy title of the Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua by the Ooni, would however record a mild drama between Adeleke and First Lady.
Moments after the new chieftaincy title was conferred on Tinubu, Adeleke had mounted the podium for his address.
The Osun governor, in his usual manner had firstly showed off his dancing skills to his nephew’s son, David Adeleke.
As captured in a now viral video shared on X, the Disc Jockey was ordered to stop the song which Adeleke did not protest against.
The governor would however into songs which tend to have triggered the First Lady.
The video showed the moment Tinubu walked up on to the governor to hasten him up.
She could be heard giving him 10 minutes to conclude his address before heading to return to her seat.
However, Adeleke’s attempt to conclude his song forced the First Lady to return to podium to warn the governor.
Addressing him in Yoruba, the First Lady warned him of her possible exit from the from the event if he fails to stick to the time allotted to him.
[/videoThe development had however seen mixed reaction from netizens with some slamming the governor for bringing embarrassment to the state while some faulted the First Lady for her approach to the governor.
