A video of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, predicting Peter Obi’s possible removal of President Bola Tinubu from office has re-surfaced online.
This is coming under the heels of Obi’s defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The move had since sparked mixed reactions from members of the public with some ruling out the chances of the former Anambra governor emerging as the party’s Presidential candidate.
Amid the controversies, Fayose’s old video recorded during his appearance on Television Continental’s (TVC) 2023 Election programme had again reminded the public of the possible threat Obi poses to the current administration with his Obidient movement supporters ahead of the 2027 General Election.
As captured in the video shared on Instagram on Saturday by his brother and activist, Isaac Fayose, the former Ekiti State governor held that any administration that fails to acknowledge Obi will ve removed from office in the next election.
Fayose harped on the loyalty of Obi’s supporters as a key factor to reckon with on his chance of winning the 2027 election.
“Anybody who becomes the President of Nigeria and does not give Peter Obi a right of place-I’m not saying appointment, Peter Obi will remove that person from office in another election. Mark my words.” Fayose said.
He had in the video maintained that the Obidient movement will continue to follow Obi regardless of his defeat in the 2023 election.
“This wave will not stop. The people that are supporting him, with the Peter Obi that I know, they will continue.” He added.
