Chairman of the Lagos Park Management Agency Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) has said he was just joking in a video where he has been accused of issuing fresh threats against Igbo residents of Lagos over the Saturday state elections.
MC Oluomo had been seen in a video where he said whoever knows he would not vote for the All Progressive Congress should stay at home on Saturday.
The video has sparked another outrage.
Answering questions in a live interview on Friday commissioner of police in Lagos Owohunwa Idowu, said MC Oluomo would be prosecuted if the allegations against were proved.
The Commissioner of Police said the police cyber security experts were studying the videos to establish a case against Oluomo.
Few hours after the interview, Oluomo came out to say he was merely joking.
He said the “Iya Shukudi” whom he made reference to in the video is an indomie seller who was also at the meeting at the time he was speaking. He said he was joking with the woman whom he said was also at the meeting.
In the video sent out, he could be heard said “I was just joking o”
He appealed to all not to input what he did not say to him adding that he had always stood for peace in the state.
He said it is illogical for him to threaten Igbos not to come out to vote stating if there was any threat, the APC itself would be affected with poor turnout.
He also brought the woman whom he said was the “Iya Shukudi” he was referring to in the video.
He later invited the woman to testify to the fact that she was the one being referred to in the video
