Residents across Rivers State, have, on Monday, taken to the streets in expression of their solidarity to embattled governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
This is coming few days after the Supreme Court declared the local government election held in the state on the 5th of October 2024, thereby sacking all the elected local government chairmen.
The apex court also barred the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Attorney General of the Federation, and other Financial Institutions from granting Federal allocations to Rivers until a valid appropriation law is passed by the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Fubara in the broadcast, directed all chairmen of the local government areas in the state to hand over to the Heads of Local Government Administration immediately.
