Nigerian businessman and media entrepreneur, Dele Momodu, has made mockery of Abia state lawmaker, Sen. Orji Kalu, over his claim that every successful Nigerian business owners steal government’s money.
Kalu made the comment in a video shared on X on Tuesday.
The lawmaker called for a ban on the use of dollars as he accused businessmen of hoarding the foreign currency.
“All the people who are in this country, they make government money. They stole government money. Everybody you see today who say they are billionaire, they have this and that.
“In 1997,98′ they were no where. Ask him (Momodu). Zero. Anytime I get angry, I will call their, I will call their names.
“You were last night when I said stop using of dollars and let us see how they would because they have no business.
“Let us stop using of dollars. They are stealing money and changing to dollars. They pack dollars to their house. How can be economy be well? It’s not possible.” Kalu said.
Meanwhile, Momodu, who stood beside Kalu, was caught in the video giving the lawmaker a mocking stare.
He would then feign a smile and nod in acknowledgement of Kalu’s claim when the lawmaker calls his attention.
