An Abuja-based woman and her two children have been trapped in a store elevator following power outage.
The middle-aged woman and her children were alongside other two other customers of the store identified as Sahad Stores stranded in the elevator while on shopping at the store.
A now viral video shared on X showed the mother of two visibly sweating as she disclosed that they have been trapped in the elevator for over 15 minutes.
The children were also seen growing uncomfortable due to the heat.
In another clip attached to the video, the woman pulled off her garment while banging at the door.
The emergency hotline appeared to have been unresponsive as frustration grew in the elevator.
A call to Sahad Stores Abuja by the NPO Reports however revealed that the woman and her children were successfully rescued.
An official of the store who spoke with the NPO Reports on telephone said the incident happened on Saturday.
“The incident occurred on Saturday, but the woman and her children were successfully brought out and they are well. Thank you,” the official who did not mention his name said on telephone
