Notorious bandits’ leader, Bello Turji, has left many residents fleeing their homes as he ordered a 24-hour ultimatum for them to evacuate their communities in Eastern Sokoto.
Turji was reported to have given the directive as part of his planned effort to expand his territory by seizing control of the communities.
According to reports, the directive is coming under the heels of a brutal raid on Tidibale village in Isa Local Government Area (LGA) on Monday night.
The attack and directive from the notorious bandits’ leader had since resulted to several residents of the village and other neighbouring communities evacuating en masse.
Videos shared on X showed convoy of overloaded vehicles and trucks leaving the communities.
This had since raised concern over the spate of insecurity in the country, especially in the northern region where terrorists’ groups and bandits had over the years dominated.
