A video of the faulty Arik Air domestic flight has surfaced online, showing the scary moment the airline made an emergency landing in Benin after suffering an engine failure mid-air.
NPO earlier Reported that the Lagos-Port Harcourt-bound Arik Air Boeing 737 aircraft diverted to Benin after developing an engine problem.
The airline’s spokesperson, Adebanjo Ola, revealed that the crew detected an unusual noise from the left engine as the aircraft approached Port Harcourt airspace.
This prompted the diversion to Benin where the plane successfully landed with the 80 passengers on board evacuated.
Meanwhile, a video recorded by one of the passengers during the emergency landing showed the situation of things within the cabin.
Panic rented across the aircraft as some passengers could be heard praying and screaming.

They were however evacuated successfully with no injuries or casualties recorded.
