The Department of State Services has denied report that its operatives invaded the office of the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele upon his resumption into office on Monday.
Godwin Emefiele who proceeded on leave in December last year returned to the country and resumed office ahead of the Monitary Policy Committee Meeting.
DSS Spokesman,Dr Peter Afunanya,described the reported invasion of the CBN by DSS operatives with a view to arresting Emefiele, as fake news.
“The attention of the Department of State Services (DSS) has been drawn to the false news making the round that its operatives invaded the Central Bank of Nigeria and arrested its Governor, today 16/1/23.

“This is fake news and quite misleading,” the statement said.
