A group of Rivers women has again stormed the state capital, Port Harcourt, in protest against the emergency rule in the state.
The placard-carrying women clad in red demanded for the return of the suspended state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, during their protest on Wednesday.
NPO Reported that the women commenced the protest yesterday.
They were, however, countered by their pro-Wike counterparts who also staged a rally in support of the emergency rule spearheaded by the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas (Rtd).
Trooping out again today, the Fubara supporters reiterated their agitation against the emergency rule with several inscriptions on their placards while chanting ‘We want Sim”.
Some of their inscription read; “We are Gagged”, “Is the law different for Sim Fubara and Rivers state?”, No! to Sole Administrator in Rivers State”, and “Ibas what is your Agenda in Rivers State?” amongst others.
