Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has revealed his second term agenda while explaining reason he deserved a re-election.
Adeleke made this known in a statement issued on his official X handle on Wednesday.
Reflecting on his first four years’ tenure ahead of the August 15. 2026 governorship election, Adeleke highlighted his administration’s accomplishments across different sectors of the state.
He held that he has successfully fulfilled his campaign promises across infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, workers’ welfare, and economic development.
“From the first day of this administration, our focus has been clear: to deliver people centered governance that touches every sector of our society.
“Today, I can confidently say that our administration has fulfilled the promises we made to the good people of Osun State.
“Across infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, workers’ welfare, and economic development, we have pursued policies and projects that directly improve the lives of our citizens and lay a strong foundation for sustainable growth.
“In the area of infrastructure and rural development, our government has delivered transformational projects across the state.” He said.
On infrastructure, Adeleke disclosed the construction of 350 kilometres of roads, three major flyover bridges, and development of the Ora Water Dam amongst others.
“We have constructed over 350 kilometers of roads, built three major flyover bridges, reconstructed several collapsed bridges linking key towns, and commenced the dualisation of major township roads across multiple communities.
“We have also revived critical water infrastructure, rehabilitated six moribund waterworks, developed the Ora Water Dam to serve Igbomina land, and installed 332 boreholes across the 332 wards of the state.
“These efforts, combined with the strengthening of Community Development Associations and integrated rural projects under O-RAMP, have ensured that development reaches both urban and rural communities.” The governor stated.
Adeleke also noted his administration’s prioritisation of human development through investments in health, education, agriculture, and workers’ welfare.
“Through the Imole Medical Outreach, nearly 80,000 citizens have received free medical services, while over 200 health centres have been reconstructed and equipped with solar and water facilities.
“In education, we have rehabilitated about 150 schools, improved Osun’s national examination ranking from 33rd to 7th in the country, secured full medical accreditation for Osun State University, and successfully established the University of Ilesa.
“In agriculture and economic empowerment, we revitalized the cocoa revolution through seedling distribution, deployed brand-new tractors for farmers, empowered cooperative societies with nearly ₦4 billion, and introduced progressive policies that have improved the welfare of workers and pensioners across the state.” He said.
Adeleke thereafter announced an upgraded Five Point Agenda for his re-election campaign.
He maintained that the agenda would focus on Integrated Youth, Women and Workers’ Empowerment; Infrastructure Consolidation for Social and Economic Wellbeing; Agro-Industrial Expansion for Collective Prosperity; Affordable and Qualitative Health and Education Access; and an Improved and Secured Business Environment for Job Creation.
“Building on these achievements, I am proud to announce that our re-election campaign will be anchored on an upgraded Five Point Agenda designed to consolidate progress and expand opportunities for our people.
“With the continued support and trust of the people of Osun, we are ready to deepen our reforms, strengthen inclusive governance, and advance the vision of a prosperous and forward-looking state where no community and no citizen is left behind.
“Together, we will continue to deliver inclusive, people centered governance that leave no community, town and city behind.” He added.
