Chairman of First Bank Holdings and business mogul, Femi Otedola, has recalled how the late Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Dr. Herbert Wigwe hosted him and another businessman Aliko Dangote to a dinner two weeks ago.
Otedola said the hosting was to celebrate Wigwe’s newly completed home in Lagos. NPO Reports that Wigwe, wife and son, Chizi along with the former CEO of the Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, died in a helicopter crash in the United States in the early hours of Saturday.
Expressing grief over the death of a fellow boardroom giant, Otedola said “I am shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of a banking genius Herbert Wigwe, his dear wife Chizoba and first son Chizi.
“Exactly two weeks ago, Herbie and his wife hosted myself and Aliko to dinner at his newly built home in Lagos. I will cherish and fondly remember my memories of time spent together with him over the years.”
