The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has launched a new radio station for the 2027 Election campaign for President Bola Tinubu in Rivers State.
Leading the state’s support group for the President, Renewed Hope Ambassadors, on Saturday, Wike commissioned the station named Majority FM with frequency band, 89.5
The station, according to a post on X by the FCT Minister’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, is located right inside the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
Video attached to the statement showed Wike inspecting the facility while also making an On-Air appearance with a headset on his head.
Wike appeared excited about the project and the studio’s ambience while urging members of the press to enter the studio.
One of the station’s officials who took the FCT Minister and other members of the group on a facility tour across the station described its studio a state-of-the-art infrastructure.
“Your Excellency, this is a state-of-art studio. And by comparison, there is nothing like this in the state. From here, you can conduct various interviews.
“We can receive messages from all over the 6,866 units of Rivers state. We are ready for this job.
“This is not the only studio. There is another one at the other end and we have a unit for maintenance.
“This is a complete studio. In terms of communication, this place is here to help us.” He said.
Recall that Wike had initiated the establishment of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
The group comprised of some of his loyalists from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as well as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The FCT Minister had last year created the coalition group during a week-long visit to Rivers amid his reignited feud with the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
