The Minister of State for Petroleum, Heineken Lokpobiri, has revealed that former Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, made him a minister.
Lokpobiri made this disclosure while delivering his goodwill message at the ongoing Ijaw Peoples Congress held in honour of the FCT Minister in Port Harcourt.
According to Lokpobiri, the current Federal Capital Territory Minister played a significant role in his appointment as he expressed his gratitude
“My journey as a Minister for the second time begins at Wike’s house here in Port Harcourt and ended at his house in Abuja.
“We Ijaw people are not ingrates. We appreciate your effort on the welfare of Ijaw people in Rivers state.
“After President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you are the most influential politician Nigeria, not just Rivers, have ever had.” Lokpobiri said.
Also speaking at the event, Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, heaped praises on Nyesom Wike.
