The former Rivers state governor, who had been uneven with the PDP, doused the speculations surrounding his exit from the opposition party as he disclosed his intention of leave.
Wike made the disclosure in a post shared on X on Monday.
As captured in the now viral video, Wike, who appeared to be having an online interview session, disclosed giving certain conditions to the APC before joining them.
While the conditions were not disclosed, the FCT Minister revealed that his exit from the PDP will also result to the exit of Rivers state lawmakers- both are Federal and State level.
“I’m leaving PDP for APC. See the reasons why I’m leaving PDP to join you.
“Tell me are you willing to do all these things that PDP didn’t do for me?
“When I mean for me, for my people. Are you willing to do them? Yes I’m willing to do them. Can you announce it to the public and let them hear that this is why I’m leaving PDP because you say you will do. Announce it to my people.
“If that is the case, then when I’m leaving PDP, you will see the Senators will go with me. The House of Reps will go with me. The Assembly will go with me because it is for the interest of the state, it is for the interest of the region.” Wike said.
