Says Matter with Union in Court

Lere Olayinka, the aide to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has kept mum over his principal’s alleged sneak out on protesting FCT workers.
NPO earlier Reported that the FCT workers had on Monday stormed the capital city’s secretariat in protest over their unmet welfare demands.
Amid the protest, the Minister’s convoy was spotted by the protesters who swarmed towards it to prevent Wike from leaving the premises.
Video shared on X would show the protesters running towards the exit gate as they claimed the Wike had sneaked out on them without addressing their demands.
Shouts of ‘Wike is on the run’ rented the air as the agitating workers sprinted towards the exit gate.
When asked about the development by NPO Reports correspondent, Olayinka made no comment over the workers’ claim on Wike running away from them.
The Minister’s spokesperson however disclosed that the dispute between the FCT Ministry and the workers is currently in court.
“The matter is in court” Olayinka wrote.
Meanwhile, Wike would be spotted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport where he, alongside other senior government officials, see off President Bola Tinubu who left Abuja for a state visit to the Republic of Turkiye.
