An Abuja based woman Mrs. Marvis Abdulahi has called on the Inspector General of Police Usman Baba Alkali to come to her rescue and get her justice after some operatives of the force damaged her car in Lokoja Kogi State on Thursday.
Mrs. Abdulahi who told the NPO Reports she was on her way to Idah in Kogi State for a wedding ceremony said the incident happened at an area called Natako in Lokoja where there was a terrible traffic congestion.
Her car, a Toyota Camry was badly vandalized according her to her by two policemen who broke her rare windscreen and and also used knives to cut her tyres.
She gave the name of one of the policemen as Sani Manu who wore a mobile police uniform.
In a video which was recorded, Manu admitted to being the one who tore the tyres but said he was not the one who broke the car glasses.
Speaking with the NPO Reports on telephone, Mrs Abdulah said while Manu damaged the tyres, another of his colleagues broke the windscreen.
“If not for the intervention of people around, they would have killer my brother who was driving the car.”
Calling on the police boss, she said, “You can see what they have done to my car. See what the Nigerian Police did to my car. Policemen paid to protect the citizens are busy damaging properties. I must get justice.” She said
