A member of the House of Representatives from Ogun State, Chief Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, has encouraged youths in the state to put in their best in order to compete with the best athletes in the world.
Isiaka, popularly called GNI, represents the Imeko/Afon Federal Constituency in the lower chamber of the National Assembly.
GNI spoke at the palace of Onimeko of Imeko while joining youths for their marathon race as part of the annual Igberekotin Imeko Day holding from Thursday to Saturday in the ancient town.
The federal lawmaker had joined the youths for the several kilometers of marathon which terminated at the town’s palace.
“You can all be world celebrated marathoners like those from Ethiopia and Kenya. It is about determination and commitment.
“Sports is big business in the world and from this out community, nothing stops you all from emerging as some of the best in your chosen sports,” the lawmaker told the youths.”
