Bashir Ahmad, former media aide to late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has called for the law to take its full cause against notorious Zamfara state’s bandit kingpin, Bello Turji, regardless of his release of kidnapped victims and surrender of arms.
NPO Reported that Turji had released 32 kidnapped victims following series of meetings with some Islamic clerics in his hideout located around Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Confirming the release of the hostages, one of the clerics present at the meeting, Musa Yusuf, also disclosed at a religious gather on Monday in Kaduna that the terrorist’s surrender of some his arms as part of the peace agreement.
Reacting to the development in a post shared on his X handle on Tuesday, Bashir told Turji not expect to walk away freely on account of his release of captives and surrender of arms.
He held that the terrorist kingpin cannot commit what he described as unimaginable violence against people and expected to be vindicated because he surrenders.
