A 24-year-old man, Oladimeji Abdulahi, has, on Friday, been arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, for alleged house breaking and theft of items worth N270,000.
Abdulahi, whose address was not provided, is facing three-count charge of house breaking, stealing and malicious damage, preferred against him by the police.
According to the Prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite, the defendant committed the offences on No. 20, at about 10.10 a.m, at Odo-Ona Kekere, Ibadan.
Adegbite narrated to the court that the defendant broke into the house of one Abiodun Adesola, damaged the ceiling and stole electrical wires worth N270,000.
He said the offences contravened Sections 390(9), 413 and 451 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwabusayo Osho granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.
She, thereafter, adjourned the case until Jan. 13, 2025, for hearing.
