Call Power Minister, Adelabu Names
- Safiu Kehinde
Aggrieved students of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, have on Thursday staged a protest over power outage at their hostels.
This is coming days after the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, visited the institution and brokered peace between management of the university and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).
NPO reported that Adelabu had intervened over the two parties’ rift which left the university without power for over 100 days.
It, however, appeared that the undisclosed agreement between the Power Minister and the two parties took toil on the students as they stormed out, obstructing traffic flow while calling Adelabu names over the power outage at their hostels.
As seen in a now viral video, the students could be heard chanting “Adelabu! Ole!” as their placards and voices rented the air.
