Former President, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed mourned the victims of the two tragic incidents that struck in Niger and Kano States.
In a statement signed by the former President’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, on Sunday, he extended his condolences to the government and the grieving families affected by last week’s flash flood in Niger State.

He also mourned the loss of the 21 young athletes, coaches, and sports officials who died in a fatal auto crash in Kano State.
The accident occurred at Bagauda area, near the Nigeria Law School campus along Kano-Zaria road in Minjibir LGA while returning home after participating in the 22nd edition of the National Sports Festival held in Ogun State
The former President said the tragic incidents, happening in a quick sequence, had left him shocked and devastated, as it did many people in different parts of the world.
“I am deeply pained by the loss of lives due to the floods in Niger State and the road accident in Kano State. The deaths are painful and devastating.
“Condolences to the families and friends of all those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.” he wrote.
