Thousands of people are again set to converge at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, for the annual Ojude Oba festival.
The historical event held every third day of Eid-el-Fitri celebration served as avenue to celebrate Yoruba traditional culture, especially that of the Ijebu indigenes.
Over the years, the festival have gained the attention of the international attention with last year’s edition seeing the emergence of businessman, Farooq Oreagba, who stunned the audience with his outfit and pose while riding a horse- one of the significant features of the event.
Oreagba’s who is also set to appear at the 2025 edition, emerged as the face of the festival last year as his pictures went viral.
Confirmed his attendance at this year’s edition, the businessman in a post on his Instagram handle, declared himself King Steeze as he unveiled his outfit.
“The king of Steeze is back!!! Did you miss me?” He posted.
The festival is organized and funded by the Awujale of Ijebuland, in partnership with corporate brands, and notable personalities.
This year’s event have seen leading companies disclosing their partnership and sponsorship of the event.
Beverage brands like Orijin and Goldberg amongst others have shared posts on their social media handle promoting their brands in anticipation for the events.
