The management of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ogun State, has on Tuesday sparked comments over its enforcement of its ‘no bra, no examination’ policy.
As captured in a viral video shared on X, the institution’s officials inspected female students before they are admitted into exam halls.
The students who stood in queue had their chest touched by a female official and were further inspected by another official, who appeared to be the examination invigilator, in order to confirm those on underwear.
The invigilator was captured pulling one of the students out of the queue as she appeared not to be putting on an underwear.
This had however sparked mixed reactions from netizens as some commended the management while others faulted the policy.
“Students who cannot abide by this rule should find another schools where this isn’t a problem. Their school, their decision and i hope they stand by it. Morals have completely flown out of the window in the name of nonsense wokenism.”@Wale_A3
“Why do they insist on dangling it around anyway? Their mother’s can’t afford to buy them bras or they are just too lazy to clean the few they have?”@oboroic
“The school management needs to be subjected to psychological evaluation. Of all the problems facing the Nigeria Education sector they prioritize checking underwear as a way of resolving the crisis. The certificates of professors in the school should be withdrawn.”@FNwapa

“That’s a very nice development from OOU management. A well trained and responsible lady will not go to exam hall without bra…If she’s going to interview , can she go there without bra. Kudos to OOU”@SanyaoluS
