President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 Electoral promise on constant electricity has been fulfilled, his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, claimed.
Onanuga made the claim while commenting on an X post shared by human rights activist and public affairs commentator, Mahdi Sheu.
The activist had on Tuesday posted a video clip where Tinubu charged Nigerians not to vote for him for second term if he failed to provide constant electricity in his first four years.
As captured in the video, Tinubu had in his address at a business lunch during his 2023 Presidential campaign promised to provide constant electricity and eradicate payment of estimated bills.
“Whichever way, by all means necessary, we must have electricity, and you will not pay for estimated bill anymore.
“A promise made will be a promise. If I don’t keep the promise and I come back for second term, don’t vote for me.” The President had said.
Mahdi, in a caption on the video, charged Nigerians to keep the video ahead of the 2027 Presidential election.
