President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Tokyo, Japan, ahead of the 2025 Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD).
The Presidential jet landed at the Japan capital’s airport where he was received by the country’s Ambassador in charge of TICAD, Hideo Matsubara, and other Nigerian delegates who had earlier arrived in the country.
NPO Reported that Tinubu had on Friday departed Abuja for 12-day visit to Japan and Brazil.
Having had a brief stopover at Dubai, the President arrived in Tokyo where he will be attending the 2025 TICAD.
The conference, themed “Co-create Innovative Solutions with Africa,” is scheduled to hold in Yokohama, Japan from the 20th to 22nd of August.
Tinubu will attend plenary sessions and hold bilateral meetings with world leaders, as well as Japanese business executives.
The President is also expected to engage with CEOs of Japanese companies that already had, or were considering, investments in Nigeria.
Following the summit in Japan, Tinubu will proceed to Brasilia, Brazil, for a state visit from 24th to 25th of August at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
While in Brazil, he is expected to hold bilateral talks with his host and participate in a business forum aimed at attracting Brazilian investment to Nigeria.
