President Bola Tinubu has again come under public spotlight as reactions trailed a billboard having his middle name, Ahmed, wrongly spelt as “Ahmend”.
The billboard, sponsored by Adelabu, was spotted in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
As seen in a Facebook on Thursday, the message on the billboard, which had pictures of Tinubu and Adelabu, was simply welcoming the President to the coronation of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Adewolu Ladoja, which slated to hold on the 26th of September.
However, the noticeable error Tinubu’s third name had attracted undue attention to the billboard as netizens trolled the President.
Some however faulted the sponsors of the billboard over the costly error.
“Only in Naija will a whole presidential welcome banner turn Bola Ahmed into Bola Ahmend. 😅 One small letter, but a big embarrassment! Imagine spending millions on printing just to give Mr. President a brand-new name. This is why attention to detail matters o — a single typo can rewrite history. Next time, let’s proofread before we ‘Ahmend’ what is already correct. Ibadan people, eya Ahmend eleyi oo” @Adeniran Ibukun Joseph wrote.
