Officials of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service have successfully rescued a middle-aged woman from 60 feet deep well in Ikorodu area of the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the service Controller General, Margaret Adeseye.
According to the statement, the Fire Service received a distress call around 1:41am over the incident which occured at Mustapha Boluwatife Street, off Agric Road, Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The lady estimated to be 32-year-old was reported t have accidentally fell into the well while sitting on its edge.
In swift response the service rescue team sprang into action as a video attached to statement showed moment a heavily strapped rescuer dived into the well.
The lady was successfully pulled out alive and immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The Lagos Fire Service suspected that the lady might have probably plunged into the well out of depression.
