*As Senator is Accused of Arresting Actress’ Brother
Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has alleged that her daughter donated $50,000 to support Senator Ned Nwoko’s election campaign.
She also claimed to have personally contributed funds and resources to his political bid.
In a video clip posted online, Rita who appeared to be on the phone with the Senator accused him of turning against the family despite the support given to him during his election.
She stated that Regina publicly praised Nwoko, publicly referring to him as “odogwu” in social media posts to boost his image.
According to her, the senator benefited from both her financial contributions and her daughter’s influence, yet has allegedly shown ingratitude in return.
She further criticized the lifestyle and public image surrounding the Senator, noting that his wealth does not reflects in the wellbeing of his children.
“You wanted someone with a high star to boost your fallen star.
“I swallowed it, kept quiet and was covering for you.
“The same way you went up, you will come down. If you think you can buy the fingers that fed you, you will go down,
“Regina gave you $50,000 to support your election yet she will come on the social media and call you odogwu just to make you feel funky. I also supported you with money and resources. All my resources went into your election.
“Go and see Ned Nwoko’s children if they’re looking like a billionaire’s children” she alleged.
Additionally, Regina in an post on her instagram story had alleged that the senator the ordered the arrest of her brother and sister.
“Someone pls help me! I feel like i’m loosing my mind. I never thought I would do this but my big brother and big sister have been arrested.
“My baby sister might be arrested soon as well until I return to rehab.
“Don’t even get me started on telling the world what you did to me with your stupid rehab talk.” she wrote.
NPO Reports recalls that this is coming few weeks after Regina accused Nwoko of domestic violence in a viral video that surfaced online, where she was seen weeping outside her mansion.
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen,” she said.
