Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have nabbed three suspected vote buyers in various parts of Anambra.
This is coming under the heels of public outcry over the massive vote buying act which had dominated the gubernatorial election held on Saturday.
The anti-graft agency, in a statement issued on its official X handle, confirmed the arrest of the suspects.
One of the suspects, Emeka Ilokasia, was arrested at Ward 2, Njikoka Local government.
As seen in the picture attached to the post, the suspect was identified to be polling agent of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party.
Another suspect, Nwachuwu Loretta, was arrested at Ward 2(008), Awkuzu, Oyi local government while the third suspect, Emuka Chuwudi, met his waterloo at Umunachi village, Dukonukofia local government, where he was arrested.
The EFCC held that they were arrested while participating in the governorship election.
The commission view to charge them to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
