No fewer than 11 have escaped death as a private jet crash-landed at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.
The aircraft, owned by Flybird Aviation, was en route to Abuja when it crash-landed at approximately 9:30 a.m. while approaching the Kano runway on Sunday morning.
A malfunction of the landing gear reportedly caused the incident.
Rescue teams, airport officials, and other stakeholders converged on the runway shortly after the incident to manage evacuation and secure the area.
Although, NPO Reports learnt that the passengers were taken to an undisclosed location.
As of the time of filing this report, the management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is yet to issue an official statement.
