Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade, has installed Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s President, as the Okanlomo of Yorubaland.Alaafin conferred the chieftaincy title on Seyi Tinubu at the coronation event held in his palace on Sunday.

However, the Oyo monarch the concerns as he conferred the title on Seyi who was accompanied by his wife.
The title which translates to “the beloved child” or “the one dear to the hearts of all Yoruba people” is said to symbolise a custodian of Yoruba values, unity, and cultural heritage.
Videos and pictures shared on X moment the Alaafin changed the President son’s cap with a traditional white one bearing the chieftaincy title.
Also conferred with a chieftaincy title was former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Yari, who was installed as the Obaloyin of Yorubaland.
Meanwhile, the event had recorded influx of political figures, traditional rulers, and mammoth crowd – a replica of President Bola Tinubu’s attendance of the installation of the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abdulrasheed Ladoja.
Present at the event were notable dignitaries including the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, Senate Majority Leader Senator Michael Bamidele, and other lawmakers.
