Says Attack Benefits Both US President, Nigeria
- Safiu Kehinde
A former All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba II, has disclosed alleged reason behind the United States air strike in Sokoto state as ordered by President Donald Trump.
NPO Reported that Trump had in the wee hours of Friday ordered launch of massive attacks on targeted terrorists’ locations in Nigeria.
The air strikes would be reported to have landed in several villages across Sokoto State.
This had sparked mixed reactions from members of the public.
While some had welcomed the development, others expressed concern over the consequences of the attack om Nigerian soil.
Adamu, in his reaction in a video shared on his TikTok handle yesterday, described the attack as symbolic to the United States, particularly to Trump’s administration.
The ex-Presidential candidate alleged that the US President had orchestrating the attack in a bid to regain the trust and support of his Christian evangelical voters.
He claimed that the voters have been withdrawing their support over Trump’s alleged contribution to the Israel’s attack on Gaza and Palestinians.
Adamu held that Trump’s plot of regaining the support of his Christian voters was to target places alleged suspected to be subject to alleged Christian persecution with an attack against the terrorists, on a day like Christmas, drawing the attention of the Christians supporters.
“The United States strike against Sokoto state was largely symbolic to the United States. The US President is struggling very hard to recover his Christian evangelical voters back home because they manipulated the decision of the evangelical voters to support Netanyahu geocide against people in Gaza.
“Eventually, the evangelicals became so angry that they were deceived into supporting an open genocide against innocent children.
“That is why they are technically somehow withdrawing silently their support for the MAGA movement.
“The only way the MAGA movement can show its support for the Christian crusade globally is to target places where they can now name Christian operation. That is why they did that on a Christmas day.
“You know what happened on the night of the 25th day of Christmas when you throw out knockouts and bangers, that is exactly what the US President did for his evangelical supporters at home in the US.” He said.
Adamu further described the attack as a win-win situation for both the US President and Nigeria.
While Trump was said to have regained some support, Nigeria, according to the ex-presidential candidate, also benefitted in terms of destabilising terrorists.
Adamu disclosed that some of the villages where the air strikes landed are dominant base of the Lakurawa terrorists’ group.
“It is largely for the benefit of his people at home then on the benefit of Nigerians.
“However, it has positive outcomes in Nigeria because what is reported is on the attack in Jabu village. That wasn’t only place where they struck. They actually struck Al-Wariyya village and Al-Taksi village in Tangasan local government. These are credible Lakurawa hideout.
“The chances that they hit and destroyed these Lakurawa terrorists is also very high. This is also a positive development for Nigeria.” He said.
Adamu urged Nigerians to embrace the side of the success obtained from the attack and not sensationalise it.
“However you want to look at it, do not sensationalise it. Do not put it as religion.
“Just look at the net winning. While Trump is winning is political supporters at home, we have also win some significant progress in terms of eliminating some terrorists here at home.
“We should take the side of the victory, not the side of the pessimism.’ He added.
