Popular Nigerian football content creator and comedian, Coach B.I Bernard, has called out Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, for blocking him from his social media account following criticism over his clash with fellow teammate, Ademola Lookman.
Bernard in a post shared on his Instagram handle on Tuesday slammed the Nigerian footballer over the development.
He disclosed initial intention to shred a jersey gifted to him by Osimhen due to the Galatasaray striker’s action.
“Victor Osimhen, you get mind go block me. You see this scissors wey I hold, the only thing wey I don get from you na jersey.
“I wan go cut am before. Na my guy wey beg me say he go wear am na him no make me no cut am.
“You are very stupid. You never feed me before, you never do anything for me. I worked hard so much to take care of my family.
“You misbehaved for pitch. Even for the same the video, na me dey beg say make dem no bench you o. I even change am for Lookman say he was too stingy. You dey block me. As you block me, no miss goal o.
Mr.Jollof, I’m now on your side. We go together in this battle.
“I no be small pikin for this work o. Go check. Nobody senior me for this football content creating. No be say na mouth. Me and you be mate?” He said.
NPO Reported that Osimhen had engaged in a heated argument with Lookman during the Super Eagles Round-of-16 match against Mozambique in the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Morocco.
Despite the team leading 3-0 with Osimhen already having a brace, the Super Eagles forward vented his anger on the 2024 African Football Player of Year over a wasted goal scoring opportunity he was expecting to have been passed to him.
A now viral video of the incident captured moment the Galatasaray man yanked off the hold of team’s captain, Wilfred Ndidi, as he approached Lookman.
Some Mozambique players could also be seen restraining the player whose temperament had over time being a subject of concern.
He would later demand to be substituted minutes after the incident.
With the clash perceived to have dented his performance, some Super Eagles fans could be heard booing him as he walked off the pitch.
The fans outrage did not end at the stadium as netizens also slammed the player over what they considered as pride, arrogance, and bully.
