Some Lagos residents have on Monday embarked on a dangerous venture as they trooped to scoop fuel from a fallen tanker .
The incident reportedly occurred in Apapa area of the state.
As captured in a now viral video shared on Facebook, the tanker crashed on a bridge barricade, spilling its content down to the base of the bridge.
The residents had in reaction stormed the scene kegs and drums to scoop the fuel.
While the cause of the accident is unknown, the reaction of the residents had however sparked concerns over Nigerians perpetual rejection of safety precautions in dealing with fuel tanker-related accident.
Recall that the country had in past years recorded several cases of fuel tanker explosion triggered by residents scooping the content of the vehicle with hundreds of casualties recorded in the incidents.
