A commercial bus has caught fire along the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
This was disclosed in a post shared on X on Monday by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
According to the post, the incident occurred near the UNILAG Waterfront, inward Iyana Oworo, around 1:00pm.
Video attached to the post showed the bus completely engulfed in flames.
While no casualty was recorded, the incident had however led to significant traffic gridlock, with the backlog now extending to Adekunle.
LASTMA urged motorist to exercise patience on approach as concerted efforts by the Fire Service officials are ongoing to extinguish the blaze.
