A group of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) members have on Monday stormed the association’s convention with guns and cutlasses, sparking mixed reactions from netizens.
The NANS members, as captured in a now viral video shared on X, were seen brandishing the arms and other dangerous weapons around the venue of the convention.
They could be seen hailing one another while exchanging unusual handshakes linked to cultism
This had raised public concern and revived debates over the act hooliganism that had infiltrated the students’ association over the years.
While some netizens called for the arrest of the students, other expressed their indifference over they considered to be an age-long norms of the association.
