Nigerian First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Nigerian businessman, Adekunle Ojora.
Tinubu visited the family’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Saturday.
She was received by the deceased’s daughter, Dr Toyin Saraki, and her husband, former Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki.
In her tribute to the late industrialist, Tinubu describing him as a devout Muslim who championed religious harmony.
“You have always been in my mind and that of the President. We cannot forget him. He was always there with us as a family.
“This is also my family. We will miss him, his wise counsel, support and the great role he played in times past,” Mrs Tinubu said.
Speaking on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, she offered comfort to the widow, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, commending her strength as matriarch of the family.
“Your relationship as a couple was an inspiration to many of us. Many wish to have that sort of bond,” the First Lady said.
Recalling encounters at church services, Mrs Tinubu noted that in spite of being a devout Muslim, Ojora embraced interfaith fellowship with sincerity.
She said the family had much to cherish in the legacies of the late Otunba of Lagos.
According to her, Ojora distinguished himself not only as an industrialist but as a steadfast promoter of religious harmony in words and deeds.
Members of the Ojora family, led by the matriarch, expressed gratitude for the visit and prayed for the success of the President and his wife.
Recall that Chief Adekunle Ojora died on Jan. 28 at 93 and was buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
