The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yiltwatda, has paid condolence visit to the former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, over the death of his mother.
NPO Reported the passing of the mother of the ex-Kaduna governor, Ummah El-Rufai, who died on Friday in Egypt.
The news of her demise had led to the temporal release of El-Rufai from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission’s (ICPC) custody where he was detained amid his ongoing trial over alleged money laundering and abuse of office amongst other charges.
The ex-governor returned to his Abuja residence following his release and have since been receiving condolence visits from friends, relatives and political associates from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
However, despite his heavy criticism of the APC which he was founding member, the ruling party had since set differences aside with President Bola Tinubu sending a condolence message to him.
The APC would further express their solidarity with their former chieftain as Yilwatda paid a condolence visit to El-Rufai on Saturday amid the party’s national convention.
Video shared on X showed moment El-Rufai received the APC leader at his residence.
Yilwatda would later join in a prayer session held on behalf of the late mother of the former Kaduna governor.
